Things to Do

Contemporary Art Museum + Pulitzer Arts Foundation

Picture of Contemporary Art Museum + Pulitzer Arts Foundation
3716 Washington Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108

Explore some of our favorite art places in town, the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) and the Pulitzer Arts Foundation. We've had countless memorable dates here! CAM currently showcases an exhibition by Dominic Chambers, a St. Louis artist who paints about Black leisure and introspection. Next door, NY-based artist, Sarah Crowner is showing paintings made specifically to complement the architecture and permanent artwork at the Pulitzer. The building is a concrete masterpiece by Tadao Ando and Ellsworth Kelly's Black Blue is part of the Pulitzer's permanet collection. Don't forget to stroll through the courtyard connecting CAM and the Pulitzer; you'll find Rick's beloved sculpture, Joe by Richard Serra.

These gems are less than a 10 min drive from The Last Hotel and are both free.

Blueprint is:

- some of the best coffee you'll ever have,

- the place where we met, and

- is nestled on a fun little part of the City.

It's worth visiting for sure. They have a couple locations these days (yay!), but Delmar is the OG.

Tell them we sent you (if they've been there long enough, they'll know!)

The egg biscuit sandwich. Do it.

Forest Park

One of the most beautiful urban parks in the world — and one of the greatest civic treasures of St. Louis.

If it's not too cold, it'll be a great place for a walk. Feel free to pop into the St. Louis Art Museum (it's free!). Or just drive through and see the Jewel Box, one of our favorite buildings in the city.

The arch grounds were renovated a few years back. It's pretty neat, beautifully designed, and a fun walk by the riverfront!

I mean, if you've not been, you gotta.

It's delish. The service is great. The food is always solid.

We're biased - we both worked there for a time. But it's always listed among the best in STL restaurants.
